Nova is impulsive and very guarded, It’s going to be hard to get her to form any kind of emotional attachments she keeps her circle very small on purpose as she has been through A LOT and her brother continues to torment her and try to kill everyone she loves. It’ll be tough but I certainly ship CHEMISTRY above everything else. Nova is not a whore, please do not treat her as such, she likes to drown a lot of her problems in her various vices and one of those happens to be sex on occasion. She does it because it feels good (most of the time, ppl can be so disappointing sometimes) and she likes the control.

November was not born bearing the name November. Originally November had a much more mundane name, a name that to date only a handful of people know and November likes to keep it that way. November, or as she would most commonly be known, “Novi” and even later “Nova” did not lead a happy early life. Nova’s father Ballas found out that he was not actually Nova’s father… from that moment on Nova’s life would become a living hell. All Ballas would see when he looked at her was a blatant reminder that his beloved wife had cheated on him. He hated Nova so much that he went as far as turning Nova’s half brother Kolos against her.Nova’s father and brother were both physically and mentally abusive to Nova growing up.The two often referred to her as “fattyú” (Hungarian for ‘bastard’) as did a number of the other towns folk. The fact that Nova was a sweet and very pretty girl also pissed Kolos off. He didn’t think she deserved attention, not from anyone, let alone a man who was going to treat her well. So one night on Nova’s 19th birthday Kolos drug Nova from her bed and handed her over to Lazarus the Alpha vampire. Kolos didn’t care what happened to her for all he knew she’d be killed on the spot. He just wanted her gone and to suffer.Nova however did not follow her brother’s hopes and dreams. Lazarus turned Nova himself making her an “Original” which is a vampire turned by one of the 4 original vampires. Giving her the purest and strongest strain of the vampire virus, which was a mistake, because after so many years of being used and abused Nova had had enough.You keep what you kill. It’s the law of the underworld, make an official challenge, and win? You take their place in rank and whatever else they had claim to.They didn’t see her as a threat, they saw Nova as weak, and for their mistake Nova tore Lazarus apart. She killed her creator and in doing so? Nova became the Alpha vampire. She had risen out of the ashes of her former life and was reborn Queen of the damned. It was on this day she shed her original name, tied to so much pain and suffering and renamed herself November.Now the head Vampire and ruler of the supernatural world (North American edition), she takes no shit from anyone. If she sees something she likes it’s hers. Doesn’t matter what it is.Too many times Nova had had everything torn away from her, she quite liked being able to claim what she wanted on a whim. (Though she does have her moral limits, oftentimes her bark is worse than her bite and Celeste polices her…) TRIVIA.

Vampires as an Underworld Species
Vampires are currently the alpha species in the underworld hierarchy. This is because Nova is sitting in the Underworld throne, and by Underworld law whatever species sits on the throne acts as the reigning species. As far as species goes, vampires are not the worst option to have sitting there, since most vampires are actually decent people.Vampires as a species originated as a mutation. Four brother’s looking for immortality made a bargain with “the devil” (which was a demon) for magic they thought would give them immortality. And it did in a way, however the magic given was tainted, and the result was a new species of viral supernatural that would become known as “Vampires.”Like your traditional vampires they sport elongated canines in order to tear into their prey and extract the blood they need to survive. Vampires MUST drink blood to survive. While they are capable and have a tendency to partake in alcoholic beverages, traditional food does nothing for their nutrition and can actually make them violently ill if they eat too much.Physically Vampires are very strong, and they obtain great speed as well. Their healing abilities are also impressive, smaller injuries can heal almost instantaneously while larger injuries such as broken bones or deep wounds only take a few days to heal instead of the standard 6 or so weeks.Socially Vampires are structured into a hierarchy, with an Alpha (or when not in the underworld seat of power the alpha is also referred to as an ambassador) a council that contains a minimum of three hand picked persons, and a few elders that are elected every hundred years.Just under them are the soldiers specifically trained to defend their leader or should it ever be needed, fight in the grand underworld army. A few of these are also hunters, which are essentially Vampires that hunt for the sake of supplying the blood bank. Which is a place where vampires that don’t want to hurt or hunt living creatures (or CAN’t for whatever reason) can go to feed, free of charge. The blood bank is run currently by Ericka, and she deals with blood the hunters bring as well as donated blood from allied sources.And then lastly the rest of the vampires that reside in the underworld, at the bottom of the hierarchy within the species.There is a “sub species” of Vampires referred to as “originals” which refers to a vampire turned by one of the four original vampires. They are stronger and faster than your average vampire as the vampiric virus is stronger in their bloodstream (having been turned from the source themselves) They also have elongated lower canines as well as upper canines. Non-original vampires only have the upper canines elongated.Currently world wide there are less than 200 originals left, and as far as its known- all four of the original vampires were killed. The last one by Nova’s own hands.Note: vampire saliva is a good coagulant. Specially evolved over millennia it was designed to paralyze the prey so the vampire wasnt vulnerable during feeding, and to rapidly stop the bleeding once the feeding was done so as not to cause rapid decline in an otherwise sustainable food source... if someone died from a vampire feeding off them it was because the vampire drank too much... that usually happened with freshly turned vampires who were too hungry to stop. Or inexperienced vampires who didnt know when to stop.Note: In order to turn a human into a vampire they need to drink the vampire’s blood AFTER the vampire has fed off of them. (the amount of blood that must be ingested is around two tablespoons at the very least to trigger a transformation.) You can't just be bitten, you need to be bitten and to drink the blood back.Note: Vampires can be killed by over exposure to sunlight without protection, wood stake that’s been soaked for 48 hours in vervain (at least) through the heart, removal of the heart, removal of the head.Note: Daylight items such as necklaces, rings, bracelets, are extremely rare. You need witches blood to make them and since they were hunted to extinction? Well, there's only like 7 in the whole world and they only work for the person it was charmed for.
In america, the only known holders of daylight items are Nova and Celeste, the rest are scattered around the world.
About the Underworld itself
The underworld that Nova is the alpha of has its base of operations set up in New york city, however this is not the only location. The NYC underworld has branches all over the country, many are overseen by ambassadors of other species or vampires Nova has put in charge.However North America is not the only country with a secret safe haven for the supernatural.England, Germany, Russia, China, and Africa all have their own base camps just like NA does, each with it’s own Alpha. Each underworld is structurally set up mostly the same way. Once every ten years they hold a meeting of the Alphas where they discuss current states, and concerns. If any underworld is under extreme threat the Alphas may call an emergency meeting to decide the severity of the threat and the actions that need to be taken.The meeting of the Alphas takes place on ground that is considered neutral, no aggressive action or challenge can be made on neutral ground and is punishable by death as a betrayal.Individuals who have committed crimes against other underworlds or multiple underworlds are brought to a ‘grand trial’ overseen by all of the Alphas instead of a single alpha and their proceeding council. This grand trial is also where Alphas who break the law or are found guilty of treason are brought to be sentenced.
Magic in the underworld Magic in the underworld is primarily obtained via "Dust" which is the physical manifestation of a soul or portions of someone's life force. Its essentially "powdered magic" Dust is required to use magic in any way shape or form (Excluding creatures like Elves and natural born witches which are extinct) There are other ways to obtain magic but they are also frowned upon.Other sources include: Unicorn/dragon/Natural witch's blood, powdered dragon bone, and some legends also say that ground Elvish antlers were also a powerful source of magic.To use dust or another source above is simple, its just an added ingredient to whatever spell you are trying to cast that ties everything together or "charges" it. Like a battery or a spark.You can free wield magic to an extent if you charge an item with magic and the right spell you can use it to cast as though you were naturally inclined to, however in much of the magic world this is illegal since the amount of magic source you'd have to have is way above the legal rates.Natural born witches and Elves wield a different type of magic on the other hand and while the source is technically "Unlimited" it takes a lot of practice to use without immense fatigue, and in some cases depending on the power extended- physical damage.
